The Australian wine sector is well poised to take advantage of good market conditions over the coming year, Winemakers’ Federation of Australia chairman Sandy Clark told the AGM today.
“The dominance of both China and the United States suggest they will remain a focus for Australian exporters over the next few years,” Mr Clark said.
“This is also a principal focus of the $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package.
Mr Clark also announced a new board member, Edward Swift.
“Ed is a strong advocate for small winemakers and will be a welcome addition to the Board,” Mr Clark said.
“I would also like to thank outgoing Board member Redmond Sweeny for his tireless devotion to the industry.”
