After 39 years in business, Barossa Enterprises in Nuriootpa has changed its logo and freshened up the brand as it looks to expand.

“At a time when manufacturing is on the decline, we are on the increase,” says marketing and communications manager, Karina Piro.

Supported employment at businesses like Barossa Enterprises allows for people with a disability to meet their employment goals in a safe environment. People can learn new skills, improve with training and make new friends.

Production manager Rick Collis says Barossa Enterprises supports people with a disability to have a good life, and the wine community is part of this story.

“The wine community has always supported people with disability and we now have an opportunity to offer more people support,” he says.

“Every timber box, bin, pallet and packaging order means work for a person with a disability and adds to the growth of the local economy. We would like to thank our customers who recognise the true value of their support.”

The new look was prompted by changes in the disability sector under the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme).

“The NDIS is going to change the way people access services,” says CEO Garry Velt. “The new changes will make disability services more competitive and provide more choice for people with disability.”
